Preba Moodley
Founder & Managing Director
Preba Moodley is the Founder and Managing Director of Sekila International Trade, a Dubai-based international finance advisory firm specialising in global trade finance and complex deal structuring.
His career is grounded in banking, spanning credit, corporate banking and treasury functions, including roles at New Republic Bank and FirstRand Bank. This foundation gave him deep insight into balance-sheet management, risk assessment, capital structuring and the dynamics of cross-border transactions.
Preba later co-founded Decillion, where he played a pivotal role in financial-market trading, funds management, debt origination and structured finance execution. He contributed to the firm’s strategic growth, culminating in an IPO and listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. After serving as Managing Director in South Africa, he relocated to Switzerland to support the firm’s international expansion.
Recognising the growing need for specialised, trade-focused advice across emerging markets, Preba subsequently established Sekila International Trade in the United Arab Emirates. Today, he leads the firm’s work in structured trade and commodity finance, cross-border capital solutions and strategic transaction advisory across Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Under his leadership, Sekila applies a disciplined, precision-driven approach—aligning capital with sound governance, risk intelligence and long-term value creation.
